May 8, 2008  Claire at ‘Costume Institute Gala’

A few days ago Claire attended the Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing a dress by Narciso Rodriguez and she looked great! I’ve added a total of 84 images of the event and this is also how the new gallery is going to be like from now on. Just give me time to create the other pages. Enjoy the previews before and click above to view the images!

April 25, 2008  Claire is the new face of ‘Gucci’ jewlery campaign!

With this exciting news, I had to ask Jassy if I could join her in the site and she said yes! So we will be running it together. Now on to the great news!

Claire Danes can now call herself a Gucci girl.

Today, the 29-year old actress was announced as the face of the upcoming Gucci fine jewelry campaign. Danes replaces Drew Barrymore, who fronted the luxury brand’s fine jewelry line from 2007 to 2008 as its first celebrity ad campaign face. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin return as photographers for the campaign, which will debut in fall fashion books.

“Claire Danes is a modern icon,” stated Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, who was directly involved with the shoot. “For me she is one of the most interesting young actresses on the international scene. She is very natural, fresh, and has a carefree attitude which can also be seen in the roles she has chosen. Claire’s sensual, confident beauty and her passionate, independent and strong character embodies today’s Gucci woman.” For her part, Danes added, “I am thrilled and honored to be working with Gucci on their jewelry campaign. Frida is a very inspiring and creative woman. Her vision is extraordinary and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Danes has recently received critical acclaim for her Broadway debut in Pygmalion. She will next be seen starring in Richard Linklater’s upcoming film, Me and Orson Welles.

March 14, 2008  Danes & Efron scared by ghost on ‘Orson Welles’, 2 years online!

I thought this was a nice article to share with all of you and it has to do with the set of “Me and Orson Welles”. A funny article to read lol.

High School Musical star Zac Efron has claimed that he saw a ghost on the set of Me and Orson Welles on the Isle of Man.

The actor and co-star Claire Danes told producers that they witnessed a “supernatural” being during a scene at the Gaiety Theatre, reports The Sun.

Efron and Danes said they saw a ghostly figure outside a theatre window. The movie’s crew have reportedly been joking with the stars and teasing them about their fears.

The Richard Linklater-directed movie about an Orson Welles production of Julius Caesar is expected to be released in 2009.

February 19, 2008  Goodbye?

I’m still not sure yet what I want to do but I want to get the visitors opinions before making a choice. The site will be closing 2 years on March 13, 2006, less than a month away. I’ve been a part of the staff since its original opening and have enjoyed every minute of it. The site opened with Amelie, Jay and I and ended up just being Jay and I with Laura joining last November. While I have been a huge Claire fan since 2004 watching “My So-Called Life” re-runs on TV and her amazing performance as Mirabelle in “Shopgirl” I have to say my interest is no longer in running this site anymore. I don’t plan on pulling the plug on the site but rather just leaving as a staff member of the site. I’ve spent LOADS of money on Magazines, DVD’s, images and layouts for the site but it also seems that there are not that many Claire fans on the net since there is a lack of feedback from the visitors. I’ve just come to loose interest in this site but still remain to be a huge Claire fan, so I’d like to know from you the visitor what do you think is the best choice?

Edit: Rather than just leaving on lack of motivation I have decided to give myself a few more months on the site, to see how things pick up in the future and if any other good roles come up for Claire. Thanks all for your comments they do mean a lot! And I’m glad to know that the site is being viewed and appreciated. Let’s hope 2008 is a good year to look forward to for Claire related material!
